How-To Repair A Samsung Blu-ray Player
I purchased my Samsung BD-P1590/XAA from woot.com back in March or April I think, and like a few other things from woot it didn’t work. I’m usually pretty good about cashing in on the 90 day warranty, but I had an issue with samsung customer service and getting the shipping info. Anyhow I let the warranty slip. Being an avid do-it-yourselfer, I decided to dedicate some time to a...
X
I can’t believe it has taken me so long find out about ssh -X
Basically all this time that I have been using VNC to accomplish everything remote that would be nice to have a gui in.
Well now I just ssh -X dude@system
and run some pimp command like “VirtualBox &”

4chan downloader →
I’m home sick today so I decided to do some scripting.
Directions:
Unzip into a directory and execute run.sh in a loop statement. 4chan/b/ will begin downloading in nicely organized folders with an active or 404 status.

Working on working
I’ve recently found out that Policy is hard to write. But ….. It’s done. Hooraay! Now I get to deal with all the other issues that have been backing up since. One thing is for sure I’m totally stoked about learning C. It’s one of my goals.

I want my own DropBox server.
So im trying to make my own dropbox server. I love dropbox but it’s only 2gigs. So Im looking for some server software that can do file syncronizations. Right now using rsync with mapped smb and ssh folders is really .. not that great. I did read a svn server may do the trick .. but I think the main issue is going to be with client side software. Maybe Im just looking for a common...

DD-WRT is still the best
So I’ve been a little bummed that dd-wrt port forwarding hasn’t been perfect with all the firewall rules I’ve added for transparent proxy… and it may have actually een the proxy itself. I matters not! I’ve setup a new domain that kicks the old domains ass nixb0x.com I know isn’t it great its so 1337. Well because I seperated nickadam.com and nixb0x.com I had to...

XAMPP FTW!
I’ve been using WAMP for a long time… Apparently too long. I’ve just sumbled upon XAMPP and I must say it has quite a bit of improvments over WAMP for one it asks what level of services you would like to run. It also has integrated ftp server and here’s the real good part… SSL, I spent a good couple hours figuring out how to self sign and run WAMP with the...
